Hong Kong, City of the World's Cheapest Internet Rates


HONG KONG - A recent survey stated that Hong Kong is one of the city with internet and phone rates cheapest in the world. While Tokyo andSingapore are the opposite .
Research conducted by the institute of telecommunications in Hong Kong found that call rates there is a tenth of the rate in Tokyo. Rates of mobile services in Hong Kong is also seven times cheaper than Singapore. Similarly, as quoted from Mobile and Critics, on Tuesday (10/05/2011).
Hong Kong was the cheapest of the seven cities surveyed, including Shanghai, New York, London and Copenhagen, for mobile and broadband services.
